Blossom Speech Therapy is owned and operated by pediatric speech language pathologist Colleen MacWilliam M.S. CCC-SLP. Colleen earned her master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Mass General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Over the years she has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including a residential school for children with severe to profound disabilities, early intervention, private practice, and pediatric outpatient centers. Her areas of interest include: development of play & prelinguistic skills, emerging language/first words, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), receptive & expressive language delays, and articulation impairment. She is passionate about helping children with complex communication needs find ways to communicate no matter what challenges or barriers they may face.
The lotus flower serves as the perfect logo to represent the mission at Blossom Speech Therapy. The lotus flower is a symbol of strength and resilience. Lotuses root themselves deep in the mud, with their stems fighting upwards to reach the top of the water. When the stem finds its way to the surface the lotus begins to blossom, unfolding petal by petal, revealing its true beauty.
At Blossom Speech Therapy our goal is to find a way to break through any communication barriers your child may be facing.
