Frequently Asked Questions

At Blossom Speech Therapy we work with early intervention (age 18 months  - 3 years), emerging language (age 3 - 6 years), articulation disorders (all ages), and children who use augmentative and alternative communication (all ages). If we are not able to meet your child's needs we will help refer you to another provider that may be better suited for you. 

Each session is 45 minutes in length and tailored to your child's specific areas of interest. Sessions are offered in your home or an agreed upon community setting. You will be provided with parent education and examples of what to work on at home with your child. 

We currently are accepting new clients in Freetown, Berkley, Bridgewater, Middleboro, Lakeville, and Rochester. If we do not currently come to your area please send a message with your location and level of interest. We will continue to cover more areas as interest arises. 

You won't need to prepare anything different for your home based therapy sessions. We will use a combination of your child's highly preferred toys and activities that you already have at home and novel toys your therapist may bring with them. 

Blossom Speech Therapy is an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.

We also accept private pay or use of health insurance reimbursement through your Out-of-Network benefit. 

If you are interested in submitting for reimbursement through your Out-of-Network benefit we will produce an invoice statement called a superbill that contains all of the information your insurance provider will need. We highly encourage families to call their insurance provider to ask the following questions regarding out-of-network benefits:

1. Does my policy have an out-of-network benefit for speech therapy services? 

2. What percentage of the bill am I responsible for and/or what percentage will my insurance pay?

3. Does my out-of-network benefit have any requirements (e.g., such as prior authorization) in order to receive services?

4. Is there an out-of-network deductible amount I need to hit before I can receive reimbursement?

5. Am I responsible for an out-of-network co-payment? 

6. How long does reimbursement typically take?

At Blossom Speech Therapy we strive to be flexible to best fit what works for you and your family. We are able to accommodate weekly sessions, bi-weekly sessions, and monthly consultations. You can also choose to have an evaluation only without committing to receiving follow up services.
